ATPL(A) PLUS Fast-Track

Everything you need included! The Integrated ATPL(A) course is the fastest way to obtain your pilot licence. With this training programme, and with no previous flying experience required, you will be eligible to apply to airlines. At IFA Viseu, the accelerated course gives you the opportunity to complete your training sooner than through the standard program and includes accommodation services. More information upon request!

  • Be at least 17 years old to begin the ATPL(A) theoretical phase;
  • Successfully completed secondary education (diploma or certificate required);
  • Be fluent in English (written and spoken): all manuals, tests, and theoretical examinations are conducted in English;
  • Visa (for non-European students): upon enrolment, IFA will issue a confirmation letter proving the student’s registration, which can be used to apply for a Student Visa;
  • Clean Criminal Record (from all countries where the applicant has resided for more than 6 months during the last 5 years);
  • Admission Assessment: psychometric and motor skills evaluation; knowledge of English, Mathematics, and Physics is an advantage;
  • Personal interview;
  • Be eligible to obtain an EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.

    Steps of the pre-application process:

    Here you will find the stages you need to follow to begin your application. Each step has been designed to guide you through the process in a simple and structured way, from the initial contact through to the validation of your pre-application.

    If you want to know how to become an airline pilot, the first step is to get in touch with us. Our team will assist you throughout the entire process. Start your application by completing the required forms provided by IFA.
    To discuss application requirements and enrolment conditions, the applicant will be contacted by phone or email. At this stage, the admissions representative will answer any questions you may have.
    Once all required personal documents have been submitted, the applicant will be ready to schedule the assessment date (admission examination).
    The applicant assessment process is designed to determine whether the candidate possesses the specific cognitive abilities, personal characteristics, English language proficiency, and motivation required to pursue a successful career as a pilot. The assessment is conducted through a secure and validated testing system.

    Curriculum Structure and Training Stages of the Fast-Track Integrated ATPL(A) Course:

    Intensive program with CPL/MEP/IR licenses and accelerated ATPL theory (16 months). The APS MCC is taken after the ATPL (A) course.

    Payment methods and financial investment in ATPL(A) Integrated training

    Daytime ATPL(A) classes in regular (24 months) or accelerated (16 months) schedules. Theoretical hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

    Aerodrome in Viseu

    Viseu Aerodrome offers ideal conditions for pilot training, combining a diverse operational environment with low levels of air traffic congestion.

    Viseu Aerodrome has a paved runway 1200 meters long and 30 meters wide, making it one of the largest airport structures in the central region of Portugal. It has technological equipment to support aircraft navigation and landing – “VOR Approach”.

    IFA is the only flight school located at this aerodrome, allowing flight time for all slots.
